Andrew G takes on the Film Industry Following the success of previous celebrity partnerships, Universal Pictures Video Australia (UPA) have announced another exciting relationship with one of Australian TV’s most popular and recognisable personalities -Andrew G.

Andrew G will support several of UPA’s key catalogue campaigns throughout the year with ‘Andrew G’s Hit List’. A national radio and print advertising campaign, along with in- store presence through key retailers, POS and on pack promotions, will be executed to promote the catalogue titles.

‘Andrew G’s Hit List’ will specifically promote a range of UPA’s titles at competitive price points, appealing to young adults across a wide range of genres. It will build on the enormous success of their existing relationship with Alan Jones, promoting targeted titles for older audiences.

One of Australia’s most well-known entertainment personalities through his hosting of Australian Idol, (previously) Channel V and national radio chart show Take 40 Australia, G is a mad movie fan who is excited to move beyond his music heritage into the world of Hollywood. His new hosting role on Channel 10’s hit program The Con Test also began recently.

UPA will launch the ‘Andrew G’s Hit List’ with an Under $20 campaign running from 7th March - 18th April with an array of titles, including some of 2006’s biggest movies such as The Break-Up, The 40 Year Old Virgin, The Fast and The Furious Tokyo Drift and United 93 along with other favourites DOA: Dead or Alive and Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels Special Edition.
