Australian V8 Supercar young gun, Jamie Whincup and multiple Bathurst 1000 winner Craig Lowndes are calling on all young Australians not to drive and text message so they can give their driving the 100% attention needed. "Whether we're driving at 260km/h down Conrod Straight or 60 km/h on the main street we all have to give it 100%- anything less is asking for trouble" said Jamie Whincup. Mobile phones are a great way to stay in touch with loved one but it is important that whilst driving you give full attention to the road and leave text messaging for other times.

Friday, October 17. 2008

We all have watched Walt Disney Classics growing up, but did we ever stop to think about the key values they were teaching us? NO! Of course not! A Disney Princess taught girls the importance of inner and outer beauty which they now know and use today.

Sleeping Beauty was first produced as an animated feature in 1959 by Walt Disney, now in 2008, Walt Disney is releasing Sleeping Beauty 50th Anniversary Platinum Edition. Available from October 15th on DVD and November 26th on High Definition Blu-Ray.

Obesity Experts Challenge Cricket's Links to KFC

Wednesday, October 8. 2008

KFC sponsers Cricket Australia through advertising and promotions throughout the media. The chain has been the official fast food restaurant for the sport since 2003. We are on the rising rate of obesity in children and having such and unhealthy form of food should not be promoted by any sports. Leading Australian obesity experts have called on Cricket Australia to end its sponsorship arrangements with KFC saying its strong promotional support for a fast food giant is unhelpful and irresponsible during a childhood obesity epidemic. "Cricket Australia should consider its responsibilities to Australia's children and youth and review its sponsorship by KFC. Not only would this benefit the health of the community but it would also demonstrate leadership and social responsibility by Cricket Australia and Australia's elite cricketers", Professors Colagiuri and Caterson said.

Friendship

Friday, September 12. 2008

Have you ever found yourself thinking, but I thought we were friends? Have you ever been hurt by a friend? You're very lucky if you have never been hurt or disapointed by a friend, someone who you thought you could trust then later turned out to be completely untrustworthy! Most of us don't wish to talk about being hurt after a broken friendship but without confronting the problem via talking, it may haunt you for years, and may affect your relationships in the future. While everyone's friendship experiences may be different there are always common factors to the stories that hurt and confuse us. As accepting human-beings we often see our friends and family as the closest and most important people, this is why we are so badly affected when they disapoint us.
