Isabel Lucus
Isabel Lucas was born on the the 29th of Jauary 1985 in Melbourne, Australia. Isabal is of Swiss origin on her mother's side. She speaks French and German in addition to her native English. As a child, Lucas lived in a small mining town in Kakadu National Park in the Northern Territory. Lucas went to a High School named St. Monica's College, in Cairns and eventually studied drama at the Victorian College of Arts, and the Queensland University of Technology. Isabel played Tasha Andrews in Home & Away from 2003 to 2006. Isabel was 'found' by agent Sharron Meissner when she was holidaying up in Cairns and who signed her up straight away when they met in 2002. Sharron put her up for the role on Home and Away when Isabel was holidaying with her family in Melbourne over Christmas 2002. Isabel first auditioned for the role of Kit Hunter (now played by Amy Mizzi), but Home and Away producer Julie McGauran didn't feel it was the right role for her. At the same time Julie realised she couldn't let her go. The role of 'Jane Doe' was devised especially for Isabel. Lucas moved to Los Angeles in early 2008 and is currently filming her debut role in a film in the upcoming vampire thriller Daybreakers which is set for release in 2008, which stars Ethan Hawke. Lucas has been cast as Gwen in the Steven Spielberg World War II miniseries.The Pacific. She has also been cast in Transformers 2 as Alice. Isabel is a spokesperson for the National Breast Cancer Foundation and supports and is an ambassador to many organization’s including: World Vision, The Humour Foundation, Women Against Violence, Seeing Eye Dogs Australia, Oxfam Community Aid Abroad, Global Green Plan Save the Whales Again and many more. In October of 2007, Isabel Lucas was part of a group of 30 people from Sea Shepherd Conservation Society (including American actress Hayden Panettiere) who took part in a protest against whaling in Taiji, Wakayama, Japan. The group paddled out on surfboards to the whales to attempt to stop the local fishermen from carrying out their hunt, but they were forced to turn around after being intercepted by one of the fishing boats. They drove straight to Osaka airport and left the country to avoid being arrested for trespassing by the Japanese police. Isabel Lucus is not only a beautiful young actress but is a ambassador to many non-profit organizations. We all know Isabel as Tasha from Home and Away but soon the young and aspiring actress will be hitting movie cinemas all over the world. Isabell Lucus will be starring in Transformers: Revenge of the fallen, which due for release on June 26, 2009. It is the sequel to the 2007 film Transformers, which was the first live action Transformers film. She will be working along side Shia Labeouf. Isabel plays Alice, a new character who goes to Sam's college.
She has received the Australian TV Week Logie Award for Best New Talent (April 18, 2004).
