Tuesday, August 23. 2011

Ending the Battle of the Sexes

Wednesday, January 19. 2011

As Valentine’s Day looms nearer, is it all about light, love and laughter… chocolates and roses, or might it be useful, fun and interesting to dig below the wrapping and see what happens on the other 364 days of the year?
Most of us have noticed by now that we are living in ‘interesting times’. And wherever you look relationships don’t seem to be doing so well. Many people, our conservative politicians included, often recommend that we go back to the good ole days when men and women knew their place in society.
However, my belief is that we humans are part of a much larger evolution in consciousness and we have entered a healing time of chaos… a time where the old, stale ways of thinking are dying, and new fresh ways of being together are inexorably emerging.

As we draw an end to National Child Protection Week; the National Council for Children Post-Separation (NCCPS) has revealed that they are seriously concerned at the irrational and tragic paradox that while State Child Protection workers, Police and Medical Practitioners are working to prevent child abuse and to protect children from abuse, the Family Courts are ordering children to live with, or to have unsupervised contact with, parents who have abused them or are known and proven abusers.

Wednesday, June 24. 2009

I trust my friend with my life, but I can't believe what my best friend did...

Your best friend is someone you can rely on to be there, for you, in the good, the bad and the ugly times of life. You trust this person with all your heart and give them 110% of yourself and of course you expect the same in return. You're there for them when they cry, smile or laugh. You will drop everything to be there for them when they are upset; whether it be over a boy, a girl, a fight or a job. You are a team, you tell each other how much you care, how much you love being friends and how you will be there for each other, forever, no matter what...
