Coles Samsung $1 phone offer

Coles Supermarkets has launched a prepaid phone package that's set to shake up Australia's mobile phone market.

Coles will be offering a Samsung mobile phone for just $1 when customers buy $50 of Super Saverrecharge. The offer delivers unprecedented value with a sim, a phone and $50 of recharge credit for a total price of $51!

The $1 phone deal will be on offer from today (17 September) for a two week period, but the SuperSaver tariff will be available in Coles ongoing. This tariff offers exceptional value with free calls and texts to anyone on Crazy John's mobile phone service at any time. It also offers a simple flatrate for calls and texts of 15c per 30 secs, 15c texts and a 15c flagfall.

Coles Merchandise Director, John Durkan said that too often in the past, cheap handset offers came with strings attached, in the form of lengthy and expensive contracts.

"We think the Prepaid SuperSaver Recharges offer is a breath of fresh air, bringing together a fantastic phone offer and the simplicity and transparency of Prepaid calls," Mr Durkan said. "Our offer is unique - not just with the handset, but also free calls and text between Crazy John's customers and free calls to customer service.

"We felt it was important to give our customers a more comprehensive offer than other providers, with a simple price structure, great value handset, greater level of support and much stronger value." Mr Durkan said.

The promotion is a partnership between Coles, Samsung and Crazy John's using the Vodafone network ensuring a higher level of customer confidence and reliability than a stand alone offer. The Prepaid SuperSaver Recharges offer will be available for two weeks from September 17 with the tariff ongoing.
