- What was your first job?
I worked as a checkout chick at Nancarrows supermarket. It's a Safeway supermarket now.
- What inspired you to choose this particular career?
As a checkout chick? I wanted to move myself, my teddy bear, beanbag and single bed out of home, plus I wanted to get into the 'real world'!
- What qualifications are needed to work in this field?
You need to be fast on the till...sorry...to be an editor you mean? Well this requires that you be a very nosey person, pay attention to detail to the point of annoying people (see: anal retentive and my name will be there somewhere!). No qualifications really.
- What are the best aspects about your job?
That it is mine!! ALL OF IT!
- What are the worst aspects?
There are none that I can think of.
- How many years' experience do you have in this field?
I've spent the last 12 years as a radio announcer and producer, so the journalism side has helped me in my current position big time!
