James Brown - Realise your dream winner 2005

James Brown is a talented 25-year-old filmmaker from Sydney.
His previous achievements include being selected for Berlin International Film
Festival Talent Campus in 2004 and 2005. He was co-creator and director of 2005
Foxtel TV series, ‘Art in Reverse’; winner of SPAA Holding Redlich Pitch Competition
in 2004; winner of Berlin International Film Festival, Panorama, NYFA Scholarship
Award, 2004; elected member of the Executive Board of the Film Critics’ Circle of
Australia; winner of the Best Film, Tertiary Experimental, ATOM Awards 2003; and
winner of Best Film, General at the Sydney Film Festival in 2003.
James has written and directed the short ‘Fugue’ that has screened in more than 30
high-profile international festivals. He is also a movie reviewer on the Kyle and Jackie
O show on 2dayFM.
James is currently in the UK undertaking a film making course at New York Film
Academy in Oxford. He will also be networking with British film directors in London as
a part of his Realise Your Dream programme.
