Time Out from boyfriend

Me and my boyfriend have been seeing each other for about two years. I entered high school last year and I am thinking about taking some time off from us to be with other people. I did this before but went back to him.

Then when I got back, I wanted to split. Some days I want to be with him and others I don't. What should I do? I am only young(16) but don't want to lose him as a friend.
What should I do?

A/ It's perfectly normal at your age to have mood swings and be indecisive.

But another's person's feelings are involved here so I suggest that you are totally honest with, tell him of your ambivalence and ask to be friends in the main. It's better than chopping and changing as that's also very stressful for you.

I strongly recommend that you DO date other people as you're really too young to settle down with one guy. How do you know what you really want in a boyfriend if you don't date a few different people? Keep it as light as you can, enjoy yourself as your youth passes very quickly and you'll have the rest of your life to be serious and committed.
