Amy Shark Cry Forever Tour Review

Amy Shark Cry Forever Tour Review

Homegrown multi ARIA award winning, singer-songwriter Amy Shark has kicked off her Cry Forever national tour.

In what will be one of the first arena tours globally since COVID-19 struck, Amy has committed to deliver for her fans and do whatever it takes for the national Cry Forever tour to go ahead as scheduled. To do so, fully reserved seating will be implemented at Amy's shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. And fans will be happy to know that the shows will feature full arena production for what will be a true world class event.

"It's been a very hard time for live music, both for artists and fans, with many tours having to postpone or cancel for reasons out of their control. This album is very important to me, so making these shows happen is my number one priority. I know you have been looking forward to this tour and these shows as much as I have, so we have made some changes which has involved converting the standing floor tickets to reserved seating at some of the shows to ensure we are aligned with the COVID-safe guidelines. By making these changes, it means the shows will go ahead," explains Amy. "I was willing to do whatever it took to get this tour on the road. I'm so excited to play my biggest shows to date and am currently putting together a rather impressive show for you!"

The CRY FOREVER tour will be Amy Shark's most ambitious live undertaking yet in some of the largest venues Australia has to offer, delivering a brand new show with A1 production and musicianship that is set to bring her new album to life. Armed with a bunch of new songs and some impressive ARIA wins (including 'Best Australian Live Act' which she picked up for her last tour, along with 'Best Pop Release' for 'Everybody Rise'), the Gold Coast local is no stranger to the big stage and sure knows how to put on an impressive show, and with support from exciting newcomers Evie Irie and Teenage Joans - this is a tour not to be missed.

Review:   Almost a year after releasing her 'Cry Forever' album, Gold Coast singer/songwriter Amy Shark is finally able to take it on the road! And what a great show it was, so much energy and her smile never left her face. It was so good to see her back in action.

The evening started with the amazing support acts Teenage Joans & Evie Irie. They did a great job warming up the crowd while the arena was filling up.

Amy Shark kicked it off with her singles 'The Wolves' and 'Everybody Rise' and got the crowd going from the very start. A seated crowd, but she still manages to have everyone dancing in their chairs!

Throw in a few older songs, and 'Mr. Brightside' by the Killers, the crowd couldn't sit down any longer and Shark had everyone up and dancing, such a great vibe!

In between songs she gave us little anecdotes, showcasing her funny and down to earth character, and explaining her inspiration behind the songs she has written. Amy Shark cleverly involves the crowd which makes it so fun and entertaining to watch her on stage!

Finishing the night with 'Love Songs Aint For Us' and' I Said Hi' was the perfect end of a perfect night.

A filled arena, an amazing performer, live music is back and we love it!
