Rising star
Ashe, nominated for
Best New Rock/Alternative Rock Artist 2021 at the
iHeartRadio Music Awards, has shared "
I'm Fine," an infectious new track from her forthcoming anticipated debut album
Ashlyn, out
May 7th on
Mom + Pop Music. "
I'm Fine" was co-written by
Ashe and
Noah Conrad (
LANY,
Niall Horan). and co-produced by
Conrad and
Leroy "
Big Taste"
Clampitt (
Justin Bieber,
Lennon Stella).
Although the
music on the forthcoming album explores romantic love and its aftermath, "
I'm Fine" looks inward to shine a light on the psyche's more obscured corners. Ashe transforms her inner monologue into a near-operatic call-and-response speaking to the struggle in admitting your vulnerability. An old musical soul, The Beach Boys influence is unabashedly present on the track, while simultaneously showcasing Ashe's own evolving distinct and authentic sound.
Ashe explains,
"'I'm Fine' is about having that one person in your life that when you're trying to fake it and you're trying to say, 'Oh, no, I'm doing okay,' it's having that one person who says: 'I know you're not okay. You can't pretend with me.' And I have a couple people in my life that can always call me out when I'm like, 'Oh, I'm fine.' And, yeah, those are the people we need in our lives."
In addition to "
I'm Fine"
Ashlyn features her monster hit "
Moral Of the Story" including the most recent reimagined version with
Niall Horan (both versions combined have resulted in 758 million streams); "
Till Forever Falls Apart," her new acclaimed collaboration with
FINNEAS and her solo outing from 2020 "
Save Myself," along with nine brand new tracks.
Ashe has been lauded by the likes of
The FADER who raved about her "
effortless voice";
People called her music, "
deeply emotional yet so fun,"
Consequence of Sound described her songs as, "
accessible yet emotional" and
NME declared she's "a
formidable new force in the pop world." A graduate from the prestigious Berklee College of Music,
Ashe's touring resume includes performances at
Coachella with
Big Gigantic, and opening slots for
Lewis Capaldi,
The Chainsmokers,
LAUV and more.
Ashe's meteoric rise includes amassing nearly a million Instagram followers, over 9.5 million monthly Spotify listeners, one million TikTok followers and the admiration of fans and critics alike.
