Catbells Wilderness

Dreamy melancholic shoegaze meets alt-pop singer/songwriter Catbells releases debut EP Wilderness. The three track EP explores emotionally raw and poignant narratives, highlighted by heart-wrenching themes of love, loss, nostalgia, and pain.

Inspired by growing up in the wilderness of New England, Catbells's music reflects on her deep, melancholic emotions while symbolically connecting to nostalgic places and natural elements that hold significant meaning from the artist's childhood. Always seen behind a cat mask, the cat represent Catbells's alter-ego, providing a safe place for the wallflower artist to express herself vulnerably and authentically, while further providing an air of mystery.

Wilderness features soft-powered honeyed vocals, stripped down melodies and dreamy lush acoustic soundscapes. The track was mixed by acclaimed producer Ali Chant (Aldous Harding, Perfume Genius, Soccer Mommy).

Since this year, Catbells has garnered over 425k views on Youtube since the release of her debut single "Fade" and has received acclaim from the likes of Atwood Magazine and Earmilk among numerous others.
