Based on the true story of painter Sir Alfred Munnings and set in a 1913 bohemian artist colony on the picturesque coasts of pre-war England.

Born into a working-class family, Sir Alfred Munnings has risen through society to become one of the premiere British artists of his time. Winning the affection of aristocratic beauty Florence Carter-Wood whilst doing so. But when his best friend Gilbert falls for Florence as well, a complicated love triangle emerges.

Major Gilbert Evans is now torn between loyalty to his friend and his ever-growing love towards Florence, who is tasked with the hard decision to choose one of the two men.
