THE MOTH DIARIES follows sixteen-year-old Rebecca (Bolger), who is haunted by her poet father's suicide. Rebecca records her intimate thoughts in a diary, most of them centered on her best friend and roommate Lucie (Gadon).When a dark and mysterious new girl, Ernessa (Cole), arrives at school, everyone's world is turned upside down.  Suddenly there's a rash of grisly deaths on campus, Lucie and Ernessa become inseparable, and Rebecca begins to believe that the porcelain-skinned newcomer is a vampire who is draining Lucie of life.

As more students are murdered, and the line between reality and the paranormalbecomes blurred, Rebecca decides to take matters into her own hands to save herself and ultimately get rid of Ernessa for good!
