Multi-platinum singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer Daniel Seavey has released his new solo EP, Dream Crusher, available now via Atlantic Records. Listen HERE. The 4-track collection arrives after Seavey's incredible sold out shows at Blue Note in Los Angeles and New York this past week, playing the EP and more entirely solo on looper pedal.
Seavey has also been announced as part of the inaugural Yours Always Music Festival line-up, performing alongside his former tour-mates Benson Boone, Sombr and more in Salt Lake City, UT on October 2.
Dream Crusher features previously released tracks "Time to Time (Annie)" and "Love's a Gun," the latter of which arrived alongside a Matty Peacock (Billie Eilish, Shawn Mendes) directed music video and has proven to be one of Seavey's biggest single releases to date. Both arrived as instant fan-favorites, having been premiered live along his support performances on Charlie Puth's North American Whatever's Clever! Tour. On stage, the intentions of how these songs were written are laid bare: Seavey had started to experiment with a looper pedal last year on his solo headline Second Wind Tour for his Top 10 ARIA debut solo album Second Wind (which included sold-out stops at The Novo in Los Angeles and Irving Plaza in New York City before extending across Europe, Australia and New Zealand) and the raw display of his instrumentalist talent continues to go viral with each performance.
"For a long time I made myself into whatever people needed. I was the yes man, the easy one, the people pleaser. These songs are me unlearning all of that and letting go of the version of myself that lived to keep everyone else comfortable. I stopped filling every room and heart I walked into, and for the first time I left space for me." - DANIEL SEAVEY
With nearly 300 million global solo streams to date, Daniel Seavey enters the next era of his career at his brightest, boldest, and most brilliant.
