Du0 Cinematic Love

Du0 Cinematic Love

Prolific Brisbane-based songwriter and producer du0 delivers a captivating new single 'Cinematic Love', released via Central Station Records. With dreamy sonic architecture, the track has bursts of funk guitar riffs, suspenseful drum fills and nostalgic bass sounds. du0 tops it off by unveiling a compelling story about the idealisation of love.

du0 elaborates on wanting to create a narrative in the song, "I wrote 'Cinemative Love' during lockdown and lyrically, it's the first time I've tried implementing a narrative into a du0 song. You don't hear it too often in this kind of electronic music, so wanted to give it a go. The character in it (the call girl 'Misty'), this is the third time she has been in a song I've written.  It's about how all of us are looking for the type of love we see in movies, told through Misty's eyes - as she sees it in so many of her clientele and dreams of it herself one day."

Mixed by Grammy-nominated mix engineer and producer, Brent Kolatolo, (Kanye West's 'Power', Lana Del Rays 'Born To Die', Mark Ronson's 'Uptown Funk feat. Bruno Mars'), Brent commented  "I just mixed a song for Ryan that was by far one of my favourites I've worked on all year. I'm a fan. Super talented guy."

Garnering a reputation for delivering compelling lyrics, du0's 2020 release 'Come Home' has already achieved 1 million streams across platforms and earned him an LA Music Award, whilst also getting him to the finals at the International Songwriting Competition, with judges such as Coldplay and Tom Waits. Proving his lyrical prowess yet again, more recently the Brisbane-based producer won another international songwriting competition 'Unsigned Only', judged by Robert Smith and Charli XCX! Locally, his records have won over outlets such as Pilerats, Acid Stag, Cool Accidents, as well as international recognition from the likes of Your EDM and Run The Trap.

'Cinematic Love' is out now via Central Station Records.
