Hennessy Artistry Artistes' Biographies:
Israel Cruz :
Born in Quezon City in the Philippines, Cruz moved to Melbourne with his family when he was 13. Inspired by artistes like Ice Cube, Wu Tang Clan and Mary J Blige, he started making beats and rapping a year later, using a tape recorder and a karaoke machine to record tunes in the caravan he lived in, in his parent's backyard. From his music teacher who told him he'd never do anything with his music, to the label big wigs who told him home-grown r&b would never work in Australia, he's determined to make his critics eat their words.
2012 represents a second coming for an artiste who now shares his time between Sydney, New York and Miami With a new deal between his label Nufirm and Ministry of Sound Australia and a new sound that fuses an r&b attitude with the energy of electro-pop, this man with the Midas Touch in the studio is ready to retake the stage.
Eva T :
Some named her 'The Diva of South" and some defined her fastest growing 'Open Format Queen' in Malaysia, but the most important thing of all, is that Eva T is a true DJ at heart.
After leaving her native land of Johor, Eva T has been DJing all over the place, touring around Malaysia and overseas. Recently adding a performance at the biggest party of the year Hennessy Artistry Halo Event, Eva T was the first female DJ to have the opportunity to show up her talents proudly on stage. Not only having the opportunity to spin in one of the biggest event but also, she's been featured in both 8TV entertainment live show, The Celebrity Live Chat & 8TV Quickie.
Her enthusiasm shows no sign of flagging, continuing to grow from her achievements in 2011, when Eva T was voted the 'Best New DJ" from JUICE Malaysia and was chosen to be the ambassador of PACEMAKER Malaysia.
Andy Murphy:
Andy Murphy is Australia's wild child, bringing the party to clubs all over Australia and the world. At just 26 years of age, Andy has already solidified himself as a big game player in Australia's elite dance music scene. With a string of solo releases, a collaboration project by the name of Jam Xpress and a regular 'Onelove" compilation, Andy is one of Australia's most prolific young DJ's.
In 2009 Andy polled a staggering #2 nationally in the Sony Inthemix Dj poll and #1 in Victoria. In 2010 he did it again polling #3 in Australia and #1 in Victoria.
Fluke:
Fluke has played across Australia and overseas, and is one of the few Australian DJs to make their mark abroad. Currently a resident at Melbourne's largest nightspots, Eve and Tabou, Fluke plays to a full house crowd every week spinning the latest and greatest hip hop, r&b and mash ups.
