Sony Music recording artists Jess + Matt are honoured to have been selected to collaborate with Destination NSW to write the new theme song for Sydney, -Sydney To Me'. Released today through Sony Music Entertainment Australia, -Sydney To Me' is Jess + Matt's original new single as well as an anthem that celebrates this wonderful city.

To accompany -Sydney To Me', Jess + Matt will release their brand new EP -Belmont Street' on February 10, which is available for pre-order now. -Belmont Street' captures the key compass points of our great Australian musical heritage through a special collection of songs performed in Jess + Matt's original musical style. The six-track EP features a selection of songs by Australian artists that have come before them and those that continue to lead the way; from the unique Aussie optimism in John Farnham's -That's Freedom', to the larrikin spirit in Paul Kelly's -To Her Door', and of course the new breed of Australian artists taking on the world stage today with Flume -Never Be Like You' and Tame Impala -Feels Like We're only Going Backwards'.

-Sydney To Me' is an up-tempo love song that tells the tale of a couple starting a new relationship in Australia's global city. The song's lyrics reference some of the city's natural beauty and surrounds including the Blue Mountains, moonlit Harbour nights, The Domain, New Year's Eve Fireworks, Vivid Sydney festival and the iconic Manly ferries, all of which have been the backdrop to the couple's own relationship.

'Music has the unique power to capture memories of places, people and experiences. Sydney is our home, our inspiration, where we grew up and where we fell in love. We were so honoured to be selected to collaborate with Destination NSW to write this song. The lyrics reflect on those first organic sparks of our relationship when we fell in love six years ago, including some of our favourite memories from our budding relationship as it formed on the streets of Sydney. In July 2016, Destination NSW and Sony Music Entertainment entered an Australian-first tourism partnership to collaborate on world class major events in Sydney and regional areas.

Jess + Matt will perform -Sydney To Me' live for the first time on the steps of the world famous Sydney Opera House at the 2017 Australia Day Concert. The concert will also feature acclaimed musicians Tina Arena, and the duo's X-Factor mentor, Guy Sebastian. It will be broadcast nationally on Channel 10 on Australia Day from 7:30pm.
