Jess Ball Drops Dance-Pop Single 'Over You'

Australian pop powerhouse Jess Ball returns with her latest single, 'Over You', a pulsating dance-pop track that captures the emotional push and pull of moving on from a breakup. Marking her second release of the year, the song continues her upward trajectory as she gears up for an EP later in 2025.

Since signing with London-based Project Melody Music (Owen Cutts, Monster Florence, The Big Pink), Jess has been carving out her space in the indie pop scene, blending earworm melodies with dance-driven production. Jess shares: "'Over You' is about the adjustments you have to make and the habits you have to break in order to better yourself and grow after a breakup. There's no rulebook… Everyone moves on in their own way."

Built on hypnotic drum and bass rhythms, 'Over You' channels the progressive sound of '90s pioneers like LTJ Bukem and Moving Shadow while sitting comfortably alongside modern icons like Dua Lipa and LAUREL. Shifting between confidence and heartbreak, the track captures the emotional tug-of-war of trying to convince yourself you've moved on.
