Country/Pop favourite and 2021 APRA Nominee MELANIE DYER releases her new single RUN OUT OF ROAD today, with accompanying summery, feel good video!
RUN OUT OF ROAD has been warmly embraced by streaming services, playlisted by Spotify on New Music Friday and Fresh Country, Apple's New Music Daily, Aussie Country (top spot), Lil Bit Country, Country Risers and Home Page /Best New Songs, along with Amazon Music's Country Right Now (cover image) and Brand New Music, with more to come.
The video is a nod to hitting the highway, the freedom of the top down, cruising in the sunshine "til we run out of road!".  It was directed by Jeremy Dylan (who also directed Melanie's videos 'Fresh' and 'Save My Cents') between Surry Hills and Sydney's Royal National Park just days before lockdown hit back in June.
Melanie says,
"It was such a fun day driving with the top down in the cherry red mustang with a crew of good friends – the best!"
After securing mainstream, commercial radio support and over 2.4 million streams on a previous single '
Memphis T-Shirt', Dyer comfortably sits as a leading artist in the country/pop genre.  This new release embraces her origins, splashing between Dyer's signature pop melodies and playful phrasing.
Produced by Pete Holz, Dyer wrote the single collaboratively with Forest Glen Whitehead and Dan Fernandez, and says
"I wrote 'Run Out Of Road' during my last trip to the USA in Feb 2020 just weeks before COVID hit Australia and they stopped all International flights. I've been so lucky to travel from Gold Coast to California, New Zealand to Memphis and everywhere in between for music. When the world came to a halt in 2020, this song took on a whole new meaning. This song is a reminder that life is fleeting and moments are precious. Take every chance to wander, fall in love and enjoy the ride because we all know how quickly it can be taken away."
