OK Hotel Stay Bright

Wollongong-based punk-rock trio OK Hotel have revealed their high octane EP "Stay Bright" today, hitting the mark yet again with their signature beltable, heart-on-your-sleeve alternative rock. The band, Josh FogartyJason KocovskiLiam Jordan and new member Lucy Rorris truly deliver with their new EP, produced by Fletcher Matthews (Dear SeattleSTUMPSSweater CurseCLEWS) The EP is packed to the brim with meaty choruses and riffs that are sure to cement the band amongst the greats.

"Stay Bright is about the disheartening effort of staying positive and finding kindness through weird times," says OK Hotel"We wrote some of these song ideas being so young it feels like a long time ago when we listen back. They aged with us in a way that's hard to describe and it's a record we'll always want to hold close because of that."

The band revealed the first taste of this body of work in February with the high-energy, grippingly melodic rock track, "Swim", which immediately caught the attention of triple j, receiving spins on Home and Hosed and triple j Unearthed. The band have also just been signed to New World Artists roster.

Their follow up single, "Life is Crazy (Like That)" cemented their status as ones to watch in the Australian punk scene, receiving praise from PileRats, Tone Deaf, The AU Review, Milky, Forte Magazine and more, being added to Spotify's Local Noise playlist, and landing them even more spins on triple j. The track also climbed the triple j Unearthed charts, reaching #34 on overall Unearthed chart and #7 on Unearthed Rock chart in the first week since its release.

Wollongong-raised alt-rock three piece OK Hotel have been steadily gaining local support up and down the east coast, supporting the likes of Pist Idiots, Ruby Fields, Horror My Friend, TOTTY, and more. While drawing influence from fuzz-fuelled 90's bands like Smashing Pumpkins, the band's hook-driven choruses cement them firmly in the present.
