Winter is the perfect time to enjoy indoor entertainment that is not only fun but also keeps you healthy and fit during the colder months.

The recently opened $49 million dollar Peninsula Aquatic Recreation Centre (PARC) based in Frankston, provides hours of fun entertainment for the family to enjoy, no matter what the weather is outside.

'These school holidays we will run daily pool inflatables as well as -Family Fun Friday' events which will include roving performers, discos and movies," said PARC Chief Executive Officer, Tim Gledhill.

'Children will be entertained on the world first AquaSphere™ family raft ride and the thrilling 114-metre long Constrictor™ raft slide, as well as the award winning AquaPlay aquatic playground, featuring exciting multi-level landings and slides," Tim said.
Guardians can also enjoy the range of facilities on offer, from the indulgent wellness centre, warming spa, sauna and steam rooms and the state-of-the art gym or simply enjoy a warm coffee from the café.

'PARC is somewhere your family can stay all day regardless of the wintery conditions outdoors, with plenty to occupy the children over the break," Tim said, 'Indoors at PARC your child won't notice the winter cold with air temperature between 26 and 30 degrees all year round, 24 hours a day and the centre is protected by weather-resistant entrances."

At PARC, a family fun day can double as an educational and active experience for children, away from screens such as TVs and computers.
Olympic swimmer and health ambassador Michael Klim is always looking for ways to keep his family entertained, with swimming being his number one exercise of choice, and is passionate about providing all children with the opportunity to learn basic water safety skills.

'Swimming is a skill for life and can be enjoyed by all ages for fun, fitness and recreation, but there is also a serious side to swimming and that is water safety," said Michael.

'Swimming is an important skill to maintain all year round, with pool complexes providing a fantastic place for children to learn important water and safety skills, no matter what age," concluded Michael.

PARC is a state of the art facility and PARC members gain access to the all PARC facilities including the state-of-the-art gym, all pools and wet areas, unlimited group exercise classes and the exciting waterslides. A day pass for the whole family starts at $18.90, individual pass for children start at $5.20 and for adults $6.60, concession is also available for $5.20.
