Sarah Catania Shares New Single and Video 'First Times'
Fresh off headlining the Patchewollock Music Festival, Sarah Catania is back with her high octane single, 'First Times'.
The feel-good bop features soaring fiddle lines over a driving rhythm, as Sarah reminds us what it's like to fall head over heels - from the butterflies to the little firsts that make every relationship unforgettable.
"First Times is about the rush of falling in love - the butterflies, the nerves, and all the little firsts that come with someone new. Whether it's your first coffee date or your first trip away together, it's that giddy, exciting feeling of diving into love," says Sarah.
Produced by Rod McCormack (The Wolfe Brothers, Lee Kernaghan, Max Jackson) at Music Cellar, the session was booked before the song was even penned. "As a matter of fact, I had only written it six days before we recorded it" recalls Sarah. "I try to always head into recording sessions with Rod with an open mind, as I trust his judgement, and First Times really stood out to him. It still feels so new and exciting for me."
With Sarah's sister behind the lens, the music video for 'First Times' captures the same authenticity and excitement as the song itself. "We wanted to try and showcase the giddiness and the butterflies and keep it super real and authentic, so that the video would take you on the same journey that I have been on." The clip exhibits a realistic charm thanks to its clever use of home video style footage.
'First Times' follows on from Sarah's previous single 'Goodbye', which was swiftly added to Apple Music's Aussie Country, Southern Craft, and New in Country editorial playlists. The songbird has already shared stages with some of Australia's finest, opening for Taylor Moss, Amber Lawrence and Shane Nicholson, to name a few. In November, she'll join Ash Grunwald on his Victorian tour dates and support Andrew Swift amid his 'Lucky Stars' tour.
