Calling the innovation -Crowd Farming,' TEDxSydney is collaborating with sustainable food champions, Grow It Local, to inspire members of the TEDxSydney community, local growers, gardeners and farmers to contribute food for a lunchtime feast for the 2,200 attendees.
Under the guidance of TEDxSydney food curator and author, Jill Dupleix and Grow-It-Local co-founder, Jess Miller, an army of local farmers, artisan producers, community, backyard, balcony, windowsill farmers and foragers will supply a large proportion of food that will be eaten at the 2013 event.
The community produce will be collected from growers and delivered to Matt Moran's ARIA Catering, who will turn it into a locally grown feast.
