Ringside is part written, devised and performed with a group of 30 local female performers of different ages and nationalities who play the roles of Mem's potential wives and wedding guests. Audience members are required to wear headphones as the celebration and rituals of remembered wedding receptions are used to explore issues surrounding autobiography, identity, sexuality, memory, culture, self-censorship and childhood fantasies... and how they so easily could have become a reality.

On an empty stage lit only by hand-held torches, award-winning Adelaide trio, Terri Cat Silvertree, Alex Gellmann and Skye Gellmann take us back to the pure essence of circus; behind the popcorn, frills and grand gestures. Far from the sensory overload of much contemporary performance, Scattered Tacks leads audiences into an enthralling, minimalist and absurd vision of circus.
The trio take turns to perform installments using curious props and peculiar circus skills.
Skye Gellman. Dancing with a bowling ball, eating a raw onion, lying on a bed of scattered tacks and juggling with a teabag hanging from the mouth, this is no roaring spectacle, rather a production of small greatness, sensational in its detail. |

Make A Scene encourages students to approach Shakespeare in a language they understand while giving teachers the opportunity to utilise technology within the prescribed curriculum.
The calibre of entries so far this year is proving to be higher than ever, with one student interpreting "Men should be what they seem" (Othello 3:3:129) by handpainting a depiction of his cardiovascular system on his upper body, and another student interpreting "Love look not with the eyes, but with the mind" (A Midsummer Night's Dream 1:1:234) in a 30 second Western-style silent film. |

What do you do when life abruptly turns you upside down, grabs your heart and squeezes it tight? When you need to find more love, strength and resilience than you ever thought you had?
Award winning Australian play Inside Out asks these questions when it premieres, as part of Mental Health Week 2010.
Awarded the prestigious Rodney Seaborn Playwriting Award in 2008, Inside Out tackles the impact of mental illness on families. It highlights the very real struggles of families caring for a loved one with a mental illness and carries a powerful message: When mental illness affects a family member, it affects us all.
The Victorian premiere season of Inside Out is presented by the Mental Illness Fellowship Victoria and Christine Dunstan Productions and is supported by the Victorian Department of Health and Commonwealth Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs.

John Lennon would have been 70 years old on October 9 this year and December 8th marks 30 years since he was tragically gunned down outside his New York City apartment.
Just a stone's throw from where they first performed it at the Tilbury Hotel in 1992, John Waters and musical collaborator Stewart D'Arrietta with band will remount Glass Onion in a very special and intimate production at the Playhouse of the Sydney Opera House. |
