The track marks Hart's first release from a forthcoming new project, building on the momentum of his critically-acclaimed 2024 EP, These Days. In a genre often saturated with formulas, Hart stands out by leaning into authenticity and emotional storytelling. With "Alone," he delivers a vulnerable, hook-filled reflection on love, relapse, and the internal tug-of-war between moving on and giving in.
"I'm most entertained by heartbreak," Hart explains. "It always seems to carry more weight than anything else until you're on the other side of it. Even when life is good we never forget how it feels. If we want to escape it or find something to help us through it, that's why I need to write songs."
The single follows a landmark year for Hart, which included his debut at CMA Fest and a headlining run with Tin Roof's Nashville Hits the Roof concert series. With past releases already earning placements on coveted playlists like Spotify's Wild Country, Next From Nashville, and Amazon Music's Breakthrough Country, "Alone" positions Hart for an even bigger breakout as he continues to release new music.
