But the new flashy Camp across the lake, Camp Star, has drummed up some serious competition and now threatens Camp Rock's very existence. To keep the doors open, Mitchie needs to step up, rally her fellow Camp Rockers, and get them into top shape for the ultimate showdown.

Stage Masters producers David Venn and Jessica Benney direct this young tour-de-force, 60-person cast, in this family musical for all ages.

Venn said 'We're extremely excited to be bring this high-energy show to Melbourne. The production will feature all of the characters and songs from the film in a whole new stage production. More than 380 aspiring singers, dancers and actors travelled as far as Echuca, Ballarat and Geelong to audition for this once in a lifetime opportunity and we're extremely pleased with the talented cast we have assembled."

Interview with Brianna Bishop

Question: Can you tell us about Camp Rock: The Musical?

Brianna Bishop : Camp Rock: The Musical is a super fun and enjoyable show for everyone. If you love Disney, this show is definitely for you! It is full of drama, music, dancing and fun loving characters that everyone will love.

Question: Why did you want to get involved with Camp Rock: The Musical?

Brianna Bishop : I have been involved in quite a few Stage Masters productions and love working with the team. Their shows are done in a professional manner with very talented kids. I have made some great friends being involved in the productions and as I have always loved watching Disney movies, Camp Rock was definitely one of them and there were no hesitations in being part of another great show.

Question: How would you describe your character, Tess Tyler?

Brianna Bishop : Tess Tyler is a misunderstood teen living in the shadow of her mum (Tj-Tyler's) spotlight. With strong ambitions in being the best, she comes across as being a complete diva! But in the end she shows how nice of a person she can really be.

Question: Can you see a bit of yourself in the character of Tess Tyler?

Brianna Bishop : Tess and I are very different in comparison to personality, but we have the same ambitions and drives in reaching our goals and dreams and being performers of course! My passion is performing and so is hers so that's a big similarity in both of us.

Question: Have you watched the film Camp Rock: The Musical as research; or have you tried to stay clear?

Brianna Bishop : As I was really familiar with the movie before I auditioned, I couldn't really 'stay clear' but I have tried to make the character completely my own and change it up as best I can, but keeping the sassiness from the character in the movie.

Question: What are you enjoying most about preparing for Camp Rock: The Musical?

Brianna Bishop : I love the music the most and especially the songs Tess sings! I also love all the dancing I get to do as well, the cast is amazing and we have all become such a big family! The energy in everything we do is fantastic and I just can't wait to get it on the stage!

Question: Can you talk about your experience on Australia's Got Talent?

Brianna Bishop : AGT was a great experience. I got to meet some amazing people and just experience what being behind the scenes on television is like. The whole journey was amazing and heaps of fun!

Question: What did you learn whilst a contestant on Australia's Got Talent?

Brianna Bishop : I learned to be more confident and comfortable on stage and how to hold myself professionally in really nerve racking circumstances!

Question: What inspired you to begin acting, singing and dancing?

Brianna Bishop : When I was little I was always singing, dancing and making everyone laugh whilst putting on a show. So I guess the whole performing thing just came naturally. I have always done it, so it seemed like the best thing to do! I love it so much and feel very comfortable on stage. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else whilst performing.

Question: What is your five year goal?

Brianna Bishop : My 5 year goal. Well there are lots of goals that I would like to fulfil actually! but a few would be to finish school and get into a performing university either here or America as soon as I finish year 12! To just really get stuck into training and hopefully get into a professional show as soon as I can! Audition, audition, audition!
