What if our struggles in life, work and relationships all stemmed from one thing?

We've forgotten how love truly works.

What if love wasn't something we fell into " but something we remembered?

Mark Worthington's new book, The Truth About Love, reveals how understanding love as energy can heal our hearts, relationships, and society.

'Love is a frequency, not a noun or a verb,'  Mark says. 'The love in each of our hearts vibrates at a frequency that is unique to each of us… we are all like large tuning forks vibrating at our own pitch.'

After a lifetime of doing everything 'right' –  the career, the marriage, the house, Mark found himself asking one haunting question: 'Why me? Why am I being punished by life so harshly and so often?'

What followed was a decade-long journey into the metaphysical truth of love, not as a feeling but as a force shaping every human experience.

In The Truth About Love he debunks the 'soul mate' myth and sheds new light on how readers can create a resilient, 'bullet-proof' relationship, not through fantasy or fairytale, but through awareness and self-love.

'We might struggle to choose love because humanity has learned to put rules around love. We're all conditioned to want the fairytale, to need a romantic partner who meets the image created by our minds and the minds of the people we seek to impress – like family and friends, or in some rare cases where people are highly visible to society, the general masses.'

Instead, he offers a radical re-framing that bridges science and spirituality, explaining how we can better understand connection, heartbreak and healing.

'There is another truth at play here, though, that is not well understood – the reality is that no other person can ever love you more than you can love yourself. Why? Because you can only ever feel your own love in a loving relationship. You can't own the feelings of another person. What you can feel is only your feelings'.

He says love isn't about luck or logic, it's energetic alignment.

'Our souls don't actually care about mathematics and the laws of probability. They know who our right matches are, well before our personalities do. It's not something we should worry about. We just need to open to love and let it find our right matches.'

Yet, Mark admits that in today's world of constant technology and social media, we may be limiting how much presence and genuine connection we open ourselves up to.

And when life and love feel particularly cruel or challenging, Mark says even our pain has a purpose.

'One of  the quirks of love is that, if you do not learn its lessons effectively enough, it will bring you the same lessons that you failed to learn from, faster and harder each time. If you experience a lesson, it is because your soul knows that you are ready to face that lesson. You will never receive a lesson that you cannot truly cope with.'

In The Truth About Love Mark also explores how this universal energy could reshape masculinity and emotional awareness.

'Men need to be empowered with the wisdom to go within, own their own feelings and react from a place of love. Society's subliminal message to men that having power over others makes them more valuable and stronger, needs to be replaced with wiser messages. Prevention of domestic violence must start in the world of education, not legislation. Men need to be encouraged, and taught at an early age, how to connect to their pain, and to effectively turn it into self-awareness and peace, not violence.'

At its heart, this is a book about remembering, remembering that love is not something we chase, but something we already are.

'Few people are taught how love really works and when we learn to express love with authenticity and balance, we not only transform our relationships but contribute to healing the collective wounds of society.'
