Boy Soda Annnounces Soulstar Deluxe With Brand New Track 'Chase Your Tail'
Following a sold-out tour last month and celebrating his acclaimed record SOULSTAR, world-class soul and R&B Australian artist, creative, and ARIA winner BOY SODA announces SOULSTAR Deluxe, set for release on June 19 and features five brand new tracks. 'Chase Your Tail' explores the cycles, habits and repeating lessons we as humans can't seem to break free from. Speaking on the new track, BOY SODA said, "'Chase Your Tail' is about the loops and cycles we find ourselves in, and habits that people refuse to break. Everyone is chasing a dragon's tail in some form and I think it's interesting when we, as humans, have to go through multiple repeats of lessons before we understand those experiences fully.
It was an honour to finally link with MXXWLL for this, and we have so much fun and connect on a musical level that I really enjoy. It's such an exciting thing to be able to extend the life of SOULSTAR and add new music and creative offerings into the album world that we so carefully created."
After captivating crowds last month in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney on his 2026 Lil' Obsession Tour, and pocketing his first ever ARIA Award for Best Soul/R&B Release and ARIA-first performance alongside the other four nominees. BOY SODA unveiled his thirteen-track debut album SOULSTAR in October 2025 " a bold and soulful introduction that has already amassed over 14 million lifetime streams and earned critical acclaim from Rolling Stone AU, Complex AU, Life Without Andy, The Music, and more. SOULSTAR is a bold genre-blurring statement and features the singles 'Never The Same,' 'Blink Twice,' the honey-harmonizing anthem '4K' with Dean Brady, and his breakout single 'Lil Obsession', which is fast approaching 8.1 million global streams. This milestone comes on the heels of his recent trip to the US in partnership with East West - a JV of Warner Music. While in Los Angeles, he collaborated with creators and media platforms including Garden Sessions, Goyo, and On The Radar and connected with creators such as Indie Hourzz and Tyler Walsh.
