Carla Wehbe Somebody Loves You

Carla Wehbe has revealed 'Somebody Loves You', the third single from her debut EP Half Past Nine. Carla has launched the EP at Monster Skate Park at Sydney Olympic Park on Thursday 10 December in her first ever headline show. With full band, Carla will perform Half Past Nine in full plus a handful of brand new, unreleased songs from the middle of the half pipe. Tickets were snapped up within two hours of going on sale!

With its origins beginning at a late night Halloween party one night in LA, Carla describes that 'Somebody Loves You' is, "about falling for someone, the second you meet them. And from that moment a little piece of your heart leaves with them even though they're already with someone, and loved by someone. It's about the fantasies in your head; the little things - like what it'd be like to wake up next to them, just know them - but knowing it can only ever stay in your head."

Featuring Carla's signature pure pop vocal alongside distinctly edgy 80's nostalgic elements and drum beats, 'Somebody Loves You' picks up where Carla's previous singles 'Love Me For Me' and 'Don't Tell Me' left off. All three singles make up her debut Half Past Nine, a five-track EP.

On 'Somebody Loves You', Carla has once again enlisted Boyboy (CXLOE) on production - who has also sprinkled his magic on 'Love Me For Me' and 'Half Past Nine' (single) on the EP. Carla explains, "I went home the night of the party and wrote down a few lyrics. The next day in our session I told Boyboy what I wanted to write about. It ended up being the quickest song I've ever written - I think because the feelings were so raw and real. I knew what sounds the song needed to bring it to life and Boyboy helped make that happen so effortlessly."

A true creative by definition, Carla Wehbe is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer, with her fingerprints all over everything she creates. She is also a hugely talented photographer and videographer and recently directed and shot the video for her very own 'Love Me For Me' as well as directed, shot and edited the clip for Sarah Wolfe's latest single 'I'll Never Be Happy Again'. Carla recently featured in Lime Cordiale's collaborative campaign for Wrangler and in Double Rainbouu's most recent campaign.
