Warrnambool Cheese & Butter's Cracker Barrel is bringing the spirit of Christmas in July to Melbourne commuters this week with an interactive winter wonderland that will make even the Grinch-iest friend or family member smile.
From 2pm tomorrow for five days, Melburnians travelling through Southern Cross Railway Station will be filled with Christmas cheer as they are greeted by jolly elves and able to step inside a giant snow globe to have their photo taken. Consumers will also be able to take home one of 10,000 novelty-sized Cracker Barrel Christmas crackers to share with a loved one.
These giant Cracker Barrel Christmas crackers contain a family favourite Cracker Barrel Cheese, Captain's Table Crackers, two Christmas crowns and some cheesy dad jokes that even your mum will laugh at.
To ensure anyone can participate, commuters or other members of the public who share photos of themselves celebrating Christmas in July using the hashtag #CheeseinCrackers or by uploading to cheeseincrackers.com.au go into the running to win $5,000 worth of flights to enable them to get together with friends and family this Christmas.
"As Australians, we miss out on a white Christmas, but it doesn't mean we can't bring a little bit of Christmas cheer forward to celebrate Christmas twice. So we thought what better way to do that than through creating a fun activation and novelty Christmas cracker to bring people together over delicious Cracker Barrel cheese in the midst of the winter chill," says Mike Murray, Head of Marketing, Warrnambool Cheese & Butter Factory.
The Cracker Barrel Christmas cracker is the perfect addition to compliment any Christmas in July celebration, you'll just need to BYO your own honey glazed ham, mulled wine, and an unsightly Christmas jumper!
