Declined (A Requiem For Human Services)

Declined (A Requiem For Human Services)

Ohms is the genre-bending solo project of Melbourne based composer, sound engineer, and performer Lachlan P. Rother, most notable for fronting and leading the group U-Bahn between 2018-2020, and as the current guitarist of post-punk outfit GLASNOST, and drummer of High Control Group.

Declined (A Requiem For Human Services)
is a frantic, paranoid glimpse into the seemingly endless paths one must traverse when navigating bureaucracy. Distorted, menacing guitar hooks meet thudding, punchy drums to create incredibly catchy, and pop-centric verses, which effortlessly melt away to unveil a dreamy melancholia - yearning for a return to days of childlike naivety.

With more rock-centric influences ranging from
Ariel Pink, Black Midi, Zappa and Faust, to more focused, romantic artists like The Beach Boys, Roy Orbison, and The Lemon Twigs - Declined (A Requiem For Human Services) aims to walk the fine line between control, and madness.

Additionally, this single release will be accompanied by a music video, written, directed, and filmed by multi-award winning, Berlin based videographer,
Triana Hernandez.

Music and Lyrics written and performed by
Lachlan P. Rother.
Recorded, engineered, and mixed by
