Off the back of her debut Australian headline tour and highly successful CMA Fest Nashville showcase, country singer-songwriter sensation Sara Berki releases her EP In The Neon via Warner Music Australia. Listen here.
In The Neon features the infectious single 'Cowboys Do It Better', the blossoming love ballad 'Looks Like,' and her instant classic 'Twice.' The five-track collection is rounded out with the funk-laced title track 'In The Neon' and the vibrant closer 'Do Me Too.' All tracks were produced by Liam Quinn (Peach PRC) and co-written by Sara and Liam.
Speaking on In The Neon, Sara shares, "I want to move people. I am proud that I can write a song that will make someone cry, and then write a song that will make someone dance."
In The Neon opens with the groove-driven title track, immediately showcasing Sara Berki as an artist unconfined by the boundaries of any one genre. It then flows into her hit single, 'Cowboys Do It Better,' which follows the success of the blossoming ballad 'Looks Like' - her fastest-moving streaming track to date.
In the lead-up to this release, Berki had been doing what she thought was expected of her as a country artist " following familiar sounds and well-trodden paths. But In The Neon marks a turning point: a moment where her confidence has solidified, and she steps forward with sharp, multi-faceted songwriting and genre-bending flair. No longer following anyone else's blueprint, Sara Berki is carving out her own " boldly and on her own terms.
Speaking further on the EP, Sara adds, "The songs on In The Neon are my feel-good songs. They're festival songs " the ones you love to sing along to."The EP release follows hot on the heels of Sara marrying her long-time partner, Patrick, and jetting off on their honeymoon. The break was short-lived, as Sara was selected to showcase at the world's premier country music event, CMA Fest, in June. While in Nashville, she also performed at the Sounds Australia Aussie BBQ at The 5 Spot in East Nashville, as well as the CMA Fest Spotlight Stage at Fan Fair X, alongside an extensive songwriting schedule.

Sara's combination of timeless storytelling with her modern country sensibilities and her down-to-earth presence have helped establish her as one of the most exciting and prolific new artists in country music. With 7 million music streams and over 8.7 million video streams, she has built an impressive catalogue of songs since the release of her debut single "Fallin' off the Heartline" in 2022. Capturing audiences not just at home, but globally, it is clear Sara is ready to take her music to the world.
But 2024 marked her true breakout. She performed at major Australian country music festivals like CMC Rocks, Ridin' Hearts Festival, Groundwater Country Music Festival, and took the stage at Brisbane's Gabba Stadium for the Brisbane Lions' AFL season opener. Her performance of John Denver's "Take Me Home, Country Roads" at that event went viral, racking up 20 million views across platforms and making her one of the most-watched Australian country artists of the year on YouTube. She also won the APRA Professional Development Award in the Country/Americana category, joining alumni like Gotye, Morgan Evans and Fanny Lumsden.
Sara kicked off 2025 reaching new milestones with her hit singles "Cowboys Do It Better" and "Looks Like" along with a collaboration with Y.O.G.A. - the country-DJ project of Reuben Styles from Peking Duk ("Forever Hold Your Gun"). This landmark year also set the groundwork for her first ever headline tour at the start of 2025. The tour was unique in that Sara performed two sets each night. The first set was solo, just Sara with her guitar, performing the songs in their most vulnerable form. The second set was with her band, energy high and the crowd singing and dancing to every song. This format was the perfect representation of Sara and where she sits as an artist, songwriter and performer – the introspective singer-songwriter and the good-time, leader of the party. In The Neon, the first of two new EP's that Sara will be releasing in 2025 represents the latter of those two sides of Sara.
