Declan McKenna was first noticed in the UK for his self-released track -Brazil', a catchy song about suspended FIFA President Sepp Blatter and the corruption swirling around that year's football World Cup.  He performed at Glastonbury last year after winning their Emerging Talent Competition and has also performed multiple shows at this year's SXSW Music Festival in the US.  He followed SXSW up with a sold out show at Rockwood Music Hall in New York City and is confirmed for other festivals this summer including Field Day (UK), Latitude (UK), Outside Lands (US) and Reeperbahn Festival (Germany) among others.

Named by NME  as one of the -best songs of the past year,' -Brazil' has been building in the United States, currently Top 15 on the Mediabase Alternative radio chart and is approaching Top 10 at Triple A radio.

Declan performed on the BBC Introducing Stage at Radio 1's One Big Weekend in the UK at the weekend and The Sunday Times Culture ran a -Breaking Act' feature last week with a great write up.  He also played two gigs and an acoustic set at The Great Escape and was chosen as one of Clash Magazine's -7 Of The Best Acts We Saw At The Great Escape'.

Declan's new single -Bethlehem' was released on 20th May and was premiered in the UK by Huw Stephens on Radio 1, as well as being Huw's -Tune Of The Week' last week.

Audio streams of -Brazil' are currently 4.2 million worldwide, with 3.8 million from outside of the UK.
