Jessica Val Ortiz

Jessica Val Ortiz

Latinx actress and comedian, Jessica Val Ortiz, was born in Morristown, New Jersey and grew up in Butler, Pennsylvania. She was a musical theater major at Penn State University and is currently putting her skills to the test by performing in national and regional productions of some of Broadway's most infamous shows. Alongside being an actor, Jessica is also a full-time content creator with over 8.5 million followers across all platforms. She currently resides in Pittsburg with plans on moving to Washington D.C.

Most recently she was seen playing multiple roles in "Spamilton, an American Parody" which is a musical parody of the Broadway phenomenon Hamilton. The production also parodies several other musicals such as "Chicago", "Sweeney Todd", "Gypsy", "The King and I", as well as "Assassins". With over 60 musical references, dozens of impressions, approximately 2314 jokes and at least 3 puppets, "SpamiltonAn American Parody" is the festival of hilarity you possibly hadn't yet realized you've been waiting for! This summer she has taken the stage at the Pittsburgh Pacific Light Orchestra in "Drowsey Chaperone", "Kinky Boots" and now "Sister Act". She has worked with major brands such as Cinnamon Toast Crunch to create viral videos for their newest line of snacks.

When she's not acting or creating content Jessica loves to watch the Bachelor, dance, dive into the world of beauty and fashion, or get a workout in doing yoga. She also teaches voice lessons to aspiring singers and actors. With passions extending outside of content and the acting realm, Jessica gives her time helping organizations such as the Actors Fund – which provides a safety net for individuals and professionals in the performing arts and entertainment industry over their lifespan.

The Latinx comedian, actress and content creator made her mark playing the female characters in the Hamilton Parody "Spamilton" (a fictitious story of a very famous writer/director/star trying to save Broadway from mediocrity) National Tour. Most recently, she has taken the stage at the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera in their productions of Drowsy Chaperone, Kinky Boots and Sister Act. When she is not entertaining on stage, you can find her creating hysterical (and viral!) content for her over 10 million followers.
