Denver, CO-born and NYC & LA raised 14-year-old Kensington Tallman is a superstar in the making. A classical violinist who has performed at Carnegie Hall, a talented singer with stunning vocals, a practicing vegan and animal rights activist, and one of the fastest rising actresses in Hollywood, is set for a leading breakout role in Canada's Family Channel LIVE action comedy series "Home Sweet Rome" from the EMMY Award-nominated creator of "Hannah Montana" and That's So Raven", Michael Poryes with "Degrassi" alums Matt Huether and Courtney Jane Walker both serving as showrunners. The series will make its' world premiere in Canada on Friday, April 7th at 7pm PT/ET before premiering on HBO Max in the US and on BBC in the UK and Europe, and RAI in Italy and Germany. "Home Sweet Rome" centers on 13-year-old 'Lucy' (Kensington Tallman), who moves from California to start a new life in Rome with her dad and stepmom, 'Francesca' (Eleonora Facchini) – who happens to be an Italian pop star! With new friends, amazing food, haute fashion, and a best friend who is thousands of miles away, Lucy discovers what the meaning of "When in Rome" is all about as her adventures abroad get underway. As Lucy learns to adapt to her new city, new school, and new life, she's also navigating through the growing pains of being a teenager while discovering her own musical talent. A skilled vocalist, Kensington sings 11 new original songs in the series written by Grammy and BMI Award-winning songwriters Alex Geringas, whose songs have been performed by Cher, Kelly Clarkson, Snoop Dogg, Jessie J, and Dove Cameron, and Chen Neeman, who has written music for hit series  "Hannah Montana", "Shake it Up", "Austin & Ally", and "Descendants". The show will premiere worldwide on HBO Max, BBC, and RAI, but hits the Canadian market first on Friday, April 7th on the Family Channel. 

 

Born in Denver, CO, Kensington moved to NYC at the age of 5 and as a natural entertainer she began performing violin on stage and in the streets at age 6. It was her little brother Zealand who first took off in the entertainment industry and Kensington's first big break, booking a commercial for TOYS R' US, only happened when she was discovered at an audition for her brother. The family moved to Los Angeles when she was 10 and she soon booked her first series regular role on Nickelodeon's "Drama Club" starring as 'Bianca Magic'. Kensington can also currently be seen in the recurring role of 'Tiffany Highlander' in Nickelodeon's "That Girl Lay Lay" now streaming on Netflix. Favorite guest roles include TBS's "Chad" and Showtimes' "Black Monday". In addition to her series regular and recurring roles, Kensington lends her voice to several animated series, including Disney Jr.'s "FireBuds" and Nick Jr.'s "Bossy Bear". Additionally, Kensington is currently voicing a leading role for a major studio animated feature film which will debut in the Summer of 2024. ***NOTE she is not able to go into specifics on this role at this time, but it is a HUGE and very exciting project!

 

Kensington has also partnered up with her best friend and fellow actress Samantha A. Smith to co-write a live action-comedy multi-cam series loosely based on their friendship. Kensington's musical passions include singing, ukulele, and is currently working on writing original music.  

 

While off camera, Kensington loves learning languages and is pursuing her Italian studies with the hope to be fluent before she graduates high school. She loves aerial arts, baking vegan cakes, crafting, and drawing. Kensington is an avid animal lover and is a proud and passionate vegan donating her time and resources to Peta and the Gentle Barn. Additionally, Kensington supports No Kid Hungry and St. Jude Hospital.
