Kita Alexander Announces Sophomore Album 'Rage'

Kita Alexander Announces Sophomore Album 'Rage'
Today, ARIA-nominated Australian singer-songwriter, Kita Alexander announces her highly anticipated sophomore album RAGE, set for release on June 26, 2026 via Warner Music Australia. Pre-order RAGE HERE.

The forthcoming album traces an intimate story of Kita's personal journey with rage. "Rage has been the catalyst of positive change in my life over the last couple of years. The album is about an emotion I've always had but never understood. It's me looking at it and embracing it as a new friend and realising that I don't have to shut it down or avoid looking at it."

Kita
continues, "An emotion that is usually seen as ugly or wrong has helped me have the confidence to create necessary change in my life that I was otherwise scared of doing. Rage has helped me find what truly matters to me and to change my life in ways that work for me."

Anchored by her signature honest songwriting and infectious melodies, RAGE permits listeners to feel, process and to make meaning of their emotions. Kita shares, "I hope that when people listen to this album, they feel like it's ok to have rage. As long as we sit with it, process it, ask it what it is telling us, then maybe we will all be a little bit better off because we can truly listen to ourselves and make active changes that help support what our own needs are".

Today's album announcement arrives alongside the album's title track and lead single 'Rage'. Listen HERE. "This song was the most healing song off the whole record. When I got to recording the middle 8, I was scream-singing. I realised that it was the most powerful connection to my rage that I've ever had. It wasn't contained or controlled, it was a pure feeling. This song explores the journey that I've had with rage, from it being a quiet sensation of a warning to watching it grow into a beast that needs acknowledgement and demands change."

The official music video, directed and shot by Roman Anastasios (JACOTÉNE, Charley), is a raw one-take filmed in Byron Bay that captures the song's journey of healing and Kita's deep connection with rage. Watch the stunning music video for 'Rage' HERE.

The announcement of RAGE arrives two years after Kita's highly-acclaimed debut album YOUNG IN LOVE which debuted at #3 on the ARIA Australian Album Chart and sparked a sold-out national tour. Kita's grand pop ambition received wide-spread acclaim from Rolling Stone, NME, Billboard, Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Marie Claire, RUSSH and more, as well as a 2024 ARIA nomination for the Michael Gudinski Breakthrough Award. She also travelled to the United Kingdom to perform at The Great Escape, as well as her sold-out headline show in London, before returning home for her Australian headline Press Pause Tour. Kita released three singles in 2025, including 'Press Pause,' 'I Don't Wanna Go Home' and 'Bluray''.
