Following hot on the heels of an announcement that Sydney's Pulse Mavens had been offered a sizable grant, to follow their dreams, through the AMP Tomorrow Fund, today sees the release of the bands new single 'No Hard Feelings" available at iTunes.
The track was recorded at Electric Sun and was written about how the music industry can bring you down sometimes to a dark place, but how motivation keeps you going to push harder to achieve your dreams. Lead singer Kait Hudson said 'I had the absolute pleasure of working on No Hard Feelings with Jenna McDougall from Tonight Alive and Dave Petrovic from Electric Sun. We spent a lot of time on the song, perfecting it as I felt it was a step in the right direction for our band. We look forward to releasing our next EP early in the new year".
Pulse Mavens are new to the Sydney scene, the female fronted pop rock band first burst into the spotlight earlier this year with their debut EP 'Fight Back" which featured Michael Brierley from The Bride. The EP was recorded with producers Shane -Buddha" Edwards (Northlane), Dave Petrovic (Tonight Alive) and Whakaio Taahi (Tonight Alive). Pulse Mavens found their feet and sound musically through that process, pulling together a mixture of heavy and soft songs with high energy and beguiling lyrics. Following on from the EP, the band set forth on the 'Spring Break" tour with Western Australia's Cupidfalls, gathering an army of new fans and then headlined the Sydney GRRRLS To The Front Festival which raised $5000 for women's services.
'Our recent grant offer from the AMP Tomorrow Fund will allow us to spend a decent amount of time recording our next EP which we intend to release early next year" said Kait 'but we'd like you to enjoy a taster of things to come with this track 'No Hard Feelings".
