Max Moon
Max Moon, our hero, is sturdy and sensible. He loves the outdoors, doesn't love school all that much. He scores about average in his yearly reports. He's a little shy and well mannered, but very protective of his younger sister Bea. Max has brown hair, blue eyes and a few freckles. When he grows up he wants to be a pilot or Bear Grylls.


Bea Moon
Beatrice Moon, like her brother is very well mannered. However unlike Max, Bea is not as shy (she's sometimes fearless). She's very intelligent and always scores above average on her yearly school reports. Bea adores her brother but would never outwardly show this!


Corky
Corky is very simliar to Max in that he loves being out doors and doing all things outdoorsy. Corky has a wacky sense of humour but is also the cautious one of the group. He appears out going and goofy but is in fact quite shy. He's also a little scared of Bea...


About the Author NJ Cameron
Nicole was born in Warrnambool, Victoria Australia. She attended Woolsthorpe Primary and later East Warrnambool Primary School and high school at Brauer Secondary College.

One morning she woke up with the Silver Key story and characters bursting out of her head so she wrote the book in between her day job.

Nicole is currently living in Melbourne and working on the follow up book, The Guardians of the Key.
