Inspired by the true story of kangaroo-carer Chris "Brolga" Barns, the film follows former TV personality Chris Masterman (Ryan Corr) who, stranded outside Alice Springs (Mparntwe), forms an unlikely bond with 12-year-old Indigenous girl Charlie (Lily Whiteley). Together, they rescue and rehabilitate orphaned joeys – an uplifting, big-screen adventure for all ages.
