Fresh off the back of a standout feature in Taka Perry's recent triple j Like A Version, Western Sydney's A.GIRL releases her new single 'Lola'.

'Lola' is A.GIRL's first single drop since winning Next Big Thing at FBI Radio's 2020 SMAC Awards. She also previously won triple j unearthed's Listen Out festival slot, was profiled as a triple j unearthed Feature Artist, and featured in Ticketmaster's ones-to-watch in 2020.

Produced by Taka Perry (Ruel, M-Phazes), the track is about A.GIRL's alter ego 'Lola', a girl with a tough exterior "the side of ourselves we fear but is a necessary part of our whole". The track starts by showing us her audacious side with shimmering production, then ends with a chilled outro while holding a confident lyrical line.

'Lola' follows on from previous singles 'All Over You', 'Play' and '2142', which saw A.GIRL pick up support from triple j , triple j unearthed, community radio and key media tastemakers.

Last month she crushed her feature on triple j's Like A Version with Taka Perry, rapping Kanye West's 'Jesus Walks'. According to respected music blog Purple Sneakers, it was the "best Like A Version of the year", and "A.GIRL stole the show".
