Female founded promo merch company says going nude is the only option.
Merchgirls, founded in Prahran, Melbourne in 2015, by Hannah Chipkin and Pippa Joseph has turned the fiercely male dominated promotional merchandise industry on its head by starting the first ever design-led promotional merchandise agency that is 100% environmentally focussed by removing single-use plastic (SUP) from all their packaging.
The female founders, both with backgrounds in the fashion industry Hannah (design) and
Pippa (manufacturing and production) joined forces after they found a gap in the corporate
merchandise market. Moving away from the slap a logo on it mentality, they provide their
clients with a full creative service. But their proudest achievement is the elimination of SUP in
all their packaging.
"The fashion and merchandise industry uses single-use poly bags. Every piece of merch is
being sent out in individually wrapped plastic that is unnecessary and ends up in landfill. This
is what drove us to make sure our business went completely nude."
Merchgirls have developed the Wonder Range and Eco-Tote, merch made from 100%
recycled water bottles known as RPET. But their goal is to have 25% of their product range
made from repurposed or recycled fabrications by 2025.
If they are designing custom uniform apparel for Telstra staff or a Race Pack for the Mother's
Merchgirls is excited to announce the release of their much anticipated catalogue update,
Merch Menu 3.0, filled with tasteful merch - all available for creative customisation.
If you can think of something you would like to customise with your logo or slogan, Merchgirls have you covered, they have an extensive range of quality items ready for your next promotion.
