What is your opinion of the whole Popstars phenomenon - BARDOT?

Each month GIRL.COM.AU presents you with the word from the street. This is your chance to get on your soap box and have your say!

The question we posed this month was "what is your opinion of the whole Popstars phenomenon - BARDOT?"

"I enjoy watching the Popstars program each week, and also reading about how the group is progressing. But too much coverage of Bardot on radio particularly, can be annoying at times."

Vicky, 17 yrs, Student

"Bardot are nothing more than try hard Spice Girls. Honestly speaking, I think they have absolutely no talent. But I wish them all the best because I know they won't go far. Those who quickly rise to fame, usually fall just as quickly."

Lee, 22 yrs, Retail Manager

"As a group they are fine, but their music doesn't have any class to it. They all sing well but their music sounds manufactured, which is what they are, I suppose."

Joe, 25 yrs, Disc Jockey

"Bardot are great. I saw them performing live and they can actually sing and dance. I really like their song "Poison" and can't wait for their album to come out."

Natalie, 14 yrs, Student

"All I can say to Bardot is good luck to them as they're in a very unique situation. But I think it will wear off after awhile so I don't think they should over do it because if they do, people will start to almost resent them rather than actually support them, so I don't think they should push their luck. There is a danger that they could over-expose themselves and I know for a fact that people are already complaining to the radio stations to stop playing their song 'Poison' so often."

Sandy, 26 yrs, Musician

"I really like the group Bardot and don't understand why everyone is dissing them. They are all beautiful and talented girls and deserve a lucky break. Australians should be supporting them entirely."

Erin, 16 yrs, Student

" Personally, I am over the whole Bardot hype. At the end of the day they are just another girl group trying to be successful but the difference is that they have already got the backing and the big bucks behind them, which many bands struggle to achieve."

James, 18 yrs, Security
