The highlight of the Sydney arts and culture calendar, The Sydney Fair, is showcasing a rich variety of art, furniture, antiques, fashion and jewellery from across the globe from Thursday 28th May to Sunday 31st May at the Royal Randwick Racecourse.

A true celebration of art, history and culture, The Sydney Fair will feature over 60 of the country's most respected dealers who will share their passion for rare, eccentric and beautiful items that each tell a story. 


Visitors to the fair will be able to purchase all items from the dealers, including standout pieces such as Captain Cook's vest and a missing Sir Donald Bradman testimonial cricket bat.


At this year's Sydney Fair, visitors will encounter one of the most visually arresting displays in the entire exhibition " the extraordinary work of Prestige Peacocks Taxidermy Australia, sourced ethically and prepared to museum standards by master taxidermist Colin Rich.


These remarkable peacocks are far more than decorative objects. They are sculptural works that capture a fleeting moment of natural elegance " the poised stillness, the gentle turn of the head, the cascading drama of a fully extended tail. Each bird is meticulously prepared to preserve not only its physical form, but its presence.


A curated progression of Valentino dresses, where every piece presented forms part of a rare and significant collection, will be available for acquisition.  This unique opportunity offers collectors and connoisseurs the rare chance to own a tangible part of fashion history.


Alongside the world class displays of memorabilia and history, visitors to the Fair will also be treated to a range of talks and fashion parades, all included with general admission.


FRIDAY 29 MAY

- Valentino – A Parade of Elegance


Step into the world of Valentino, where craftsmanship, femininity and timeless design come together in a remarkable presentation spanning decades.  This curated parade traces the evolution of the house from the dramatic evening silhouettes of the 1980s through to refined cocktail and daywear of the 1990s and early 2000s, concluding with striking contemporary runway design.

SATURDAY 30 MAY

12pm to 1pm
– The Femme Fatales


Step into a world of glamour, power and unforgettable style. Femme Fatales celebrates the bold women of the 20th century who commanded attention the moment they entered a room. Featuring striking vintage fashion and dramatic silhouettes, this runway brings to life the confidence, elegance and allure of women who defined their era and owned every step they took.

1.15 to 2.15pm - The Femme Fatale in Georgian Jewellery: Identity, Symbolism and Power

Step into the fascinating world of late Georgian jewellery and discover how the powerful image of the femme fatale emerged during one of the most dramatic periods in European history. This captivating lecture explores the shared artistic influences between France and England during the turbulent years from 1780 to 1820, revealing how jewellery became a language of emotion, politics and identity.

2.30 to 3.30pm - Pucci & Co – Jet Set Glamour of the 60's and 70's Fashion Show

Step into a vibrant celebration of colour, movement and design as this fashion parade showcases the extraordinary signature prints that defined some of the most influential designers of the 1960s and 1970s. Featuring iconic creations by Emilio Pucci, Mr Dino, Paganne, Alfred Shaheen, Leonard of Paris, Maurice and others, the show highlights the bold graphics, psychedelic patterns and luxurious fabrics that transformed fashion during this exciting era.

3.45pm to 4.30pm - Frozen Fountains to Machine-Age Moderne

Join the Art Deco and Modernism Society of Australia for an engaging talk exploring the origins of Art Deco, the debates around its naming, the 1960s Deco revival, and the latest twists in its story.  Discover how this influential style shaped architecture, furniture, fashion, graphics and industrial design " and why it continues to fascinate collectors and designers today.

SUNDAY 31 MAY

12pm to 1pm – The Femme Fatales

Step into a world of glamour, power and unforgettable style. Femme Fatales celebrates the bold women of the 20th century who commanded attention the moment they entered a room. Featuring striking vintage fashion and dramatic silhouettes, this runway brings to life the confidence, elegance and allure of women who defined their era and owned every step they took.

1.15pm to 2.15pm - History of Jewellery and the Importance of Australian Colonial Jewellery 

Trevor Hancock of Trinity Antiques will present a fascinating talk on the history of jewellery, with a special focus on the story and significance of Australian Colonial jewellery. A specialist in antique jewellery, he has particular expertise in Australian Colonial gold jewellery and has handled many important pieces now represented in National and State museums and galleries.

2.30 to 3.30pm - Slip Into Something More Comfortable – Vintage Lingerie on the Catwalk

Step into the glamour and elegance of relaxed luxury with a fashion presentation celebrating the art of leisurely lounging. Featuring flowing gowns, elegant robes and sophisticated lounge wear inspired by the golden age of style, this showcase explores how comfort and glamour beautifully combined in the wardrobes of the early to mid-20th century.
