Tickets are now on sale for the 10th anniversary of the award-winning Bathurst Heritage Trades Trail, returning to historic Bathurst Showground on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 April 2026.
World heritage will be on display as Australia's best heritage trades fair returns even bigger with over 100 skilled artisans and a huge program of quirky, fun and hands-on experiences.
This milestone year marks a decade of trades trail magic, celebrating the traditional trades, crafts and cultural heritage that have helped shape Bathurst, Australia's first inland European settlement.
Artisans travel from all over Australia and will demonstrate both rare and traditional trades, including blacksmithing, dry-stone walling, furniture making, embroidery, lace making, and a special showcase of traditional Aboriginal tool and weapon making. These demonstrations will take place throughout the historic pavilions and open spaces of the Showground.
Kids can watch, learn and create together. Don't miss ideas for families in 2026:
- Visit the Kidz Zone for sword making, puppets, damper baking, games and toasting marshmallows
- Meet a bodger and learn about this rare forest craft of traditional chair and furniture making
- Ride an authentic Cobb & Co coach, crack a whip and learn to crochet or sew
- Meet the makers behind trades such as pottery, toy making, photography, candle making, violin making, spinning and weaving.
Just 2.5hrs drive from Sydney, Bathurst is steeped in history with a thriving art, culture, culinary and agritourism industry. With over 20 museums and galleries to explore, and home to the famous Mt Panorama racetrack, it's a country escape that ticks all the boxes.
As a signature event of the Autumn Colours Heritage Festival, the Bathurst Heritage Trades Trail is set against the region's most spectacular season, when the town and surrounding villages come alive with vibrant autumn colours.
Tickets cost $25 for an adult, $20 concession, $5 children (5-16) or a family pass is $60 (2 Adults & 2 Children). Tickets are valid for entry to both days of the Trail.
