Bodyjar: Summer Lovin' 2004

Australia's undisputed kings of melodic punk, Bodyjar, are dusting off their wetsuits, packing their tackle, and stocking the esky for their annual Summer Lovin' 2 Tour which hits the road in January.

Fresh from the release of their "best of" package JARCHIVES, the guys continue their 10 year anniversary celebration with an intensive tour schedule which will see them hit the Australia's most popular east coast destinations. Last year's Summer Lovin' tour provided nights of sweat, balls to the wall rock and the Jar wax their boards to do it all again in 2004 style.

To kick off the tour, Bodyjar will be performing some very special shows with good buds Pennywise in Sydney, Brisbane and the Gold Coast before embarking on over 17 dates of three weeks.

In 1994 the flannel clad rock of Seattle was sweeping the world, bringing it's newly regenerated angst to teens everywhere. In the same year in Melbourne a bunch of friends performed their first ever show at the now non existent Punters Club to a handful of their mates under the name of Bodyjar.

In the decade that followed the Melbourne music scene remained fluid as styles rose and fell and the "hot new thing" changed every week. There have been only a few certainties in Melbourne - the trams will always run, football will always be king and Bodyjar will keep on making records. From those humble beginnings at the Punters Club Bodyjar have taken their music to the worldwide stages including Europe, Japan, Korea and the USA.

So 10 years on Bodyjar celebrate with JARCHIVES - a 10 Year history of Bodyjar featuring their most loved tracks and even a couple of brand new ones. A DVD also accompanies the album featuring 18 film clips, live in Korea footage, backstage scenes and a photo history from the fans with their favourite members.
