Melt Pizza Richmond

Melbourne's hottest new healthy, fast and customisable concept, MELT Pizza, has seduced the health conscious of Chapel Street since it opened its doors in May of this year. Now, nearly six months later, young Husband and Wife Pizza duo, Dan & Elise Gold, are preparing to open the doors to Melt #2 in Richmond, bringing with them the local produce, two minute cooking times and unique customisable down-the-line offering MELT has quickly become known for.

With no oil, fat or sugar in the 100% natural dough recipe, along with Vegan and Gluten free offerings, the duo believe that MELT Pizza will provide a perfect match for Richmond's health, time and budget conscious.

'The response since we opened on Chapel Street has been overwhelming, with people genuinely surprised that they can now enjoy delicious Naples style pizza without it having to be unhealthy," said Dan. 'When they come in and see our open display of premium locally sourced produce which they can use to create their own signature Pizza cooked in as little as two minutes, there is always a look of surprise."

Elise continues, 'We are both passionate about our Pizza, but we're also passionate about our health, so this marriage of our two loves is one that we wanted to make possible – because everyone loves great pizza."

The creation of MELT came about when the duo didn't agree with the cheap and unhealthy Pizza options available, but didn't want to have to go for the slow and expensive, high end alternatives. Following a journey to Naples to study the art of pizza making, the duo returned and the MELT Pizza concept was born.

'We've found that people are bored of cheap everyday toppings," said Dan. 'I think Richmond locals will enjoy selecting from our open display of free range meats, premium Italian cheeses and market fresh vegies – and we can't wait to open the doors to show them."

MELT Pizza has also become known for its unique design and ambiance, creating a space that allows customers to see the theatre of Pizza and enjoy their meals with a red wine or local brew with friends.

'Partnering with South Melbourne Design Agency -Can I Play' has allowed us to create a space that people really enjoy to be in," said Dan. 'And our Richmond design is looking on track to create that same MELT look and feel."

Located on the corner of Green & Swan Streets in Richmond, the new location is set to open its doors in early November. Like its Chapel Street counterpart, MELT Pizza Richmond will be licenced and will provide 'Classic or Custom" pizzas baked in 2 minutes with prices starting from just $12. Delivery is also available at both Windsor and Richmond.
