Pond Tour Dates

New Single and Video for Fire in the Water

Ahead of their return to Australia to perform at St Jerome's Laneway Festival, POND unveiled a new single and video for Fire in the Water.  Previously only available in Japan, the euphonic new single is featured on the deluxe digital edition of the five piece's latest album The Weather, available now via Spinning Top / EMI Music Australia.

Directed by acclaimed visual artist Kristofski (Unknown Mortal Orchestra, The Babe Rainbow, Alexandra Savior), the accompanying visuals feature POND as they explore the dramatic dichotomy of Tokyo, showcasing a sudden interjection of dance energy from enigmatic frontman Nick Allbrook. The track follows on from the synth pop first single Sweep Me Off My Feet, the despairing mediation on nuclear threat on 30000 Megatons and the gleamingly alluring Paint Me Silver.

Released worldwide in May 2017 to critical acclaim, The Weather was produced by Tame Impala's Kevin Parker.  Fresh psych-rock soundscapes envelope tales that manage to be sober, surreal, intimate, and out of this world all at the same time.  Technically their fourth studio album, The Weather is POND's madcap barometric reading of the geo-political situation in mind-bendingly excellent form from their vantage point of Perth WA.

With a thriving reputation as one of Australia's finest music exports, POND has spent a considerable time absent from their Perth post in the past year.  Performing sold out shows in London, Europe, North America, Canada and Asia, POND has also taken the stage at Coachella, Reading & Leeds, Summersonic, Primavera, Shaky Knees, Down The Rabbit Hole, Splendour in the Grass, End of The Road and the Electric Picnic.  Following their performance at St Jerome's Laneway, POND will return to North America for a 14 date headline tour and sets at Boston Calling, Bonnaroo and The Govenors Ball.
