Bendigo Autumn Music

Bendigo Autumn Music

From the team that has delivered the highly successful Mullum Music Festival and Bello Winter Music in New South Wales, comes an exciting new addition to the Victorian music festival calendar. Bendigo Autumn Music (BAM) will take place over four days in the heart of Bendigo the weekend after Easter, Thursday 25 April – Sunday 28 April 2019.

Kicking off its inaugural year on Anzac Day evening, this boutique family-friendly arts and music festival will be presented by Red Square Music, supported by the City of Greater Bendigo on a coming together of live music venues, pubs, community halls, cafes and other unique and interesting spaces to celebrate music and arts within Bendigo's arts precinct.

BAM will offer music lovers of all persuasions an opportunity to come together and discover new music from around the globe, the country, and local region, with a commitment to program 30% local content. Artists from local communities in Bendigo and beyond, will be scouted and asked to submit applications, having the opportunity to perform alongside international headliners and national touring artists.

Although the first headline announce is still weeks away, audiences can expect a similar calibre and range of artists to Mullum Music Festival and Bello Winter Music, which have in recent years included Milk Carton Kids (US), Bombino (Africa/Niger), Hurray for the Riff Raff (US), Tash Sultana, Saskwatch, Julia Jacklin, Tex Perkins, Gossling, Mia Dyson, The Church, Nai Palm, Stella Donnelly, Rolling Coastal Blackout Fever, Marlon Williams, Jen Cloher, Harry James Angus, Olympia, Montaigne and Husky on their line-ups.

BAM is Red Square Music's third regional music festival and will be its biggest to date. "There are no gates, port-a-loos, bag searches or endless queues, no VIP exclusion zones. We are committed to equal representation of the sexes in our programming and performers of all ages. The existing energy for music and cultural events in the area is astounding, with passionate arts communities across Bendigo, Castlemaine, Maldon, Newstead, Kyneton, Woodend, Clunes, Daylesford, Malmsbury and many more. We are confident that BAM will contribute to that existing groundswell and further grow and connect in with the thriving local scenes.' says Glenn Wright.

A short drive up the Calder Freeway from Melbourne, in the beautiful countryside, Bendigo is an ideal location for BAM. Ideal for a weekend getaway in Autumn, audiences can explore the region's local arts and culture offerings, food and wine, boutique guesthouses and B&B's with back-to-back music and arts.

With the first line-up to be announced in conjunction with the full range of ticketing options, BAM promises to deliver something for everyone, with tickets ranging from full weekend passes to day passes which will allow punters access to all festival venues and events. Prepare yourself for a musical baptism with over 80 performances in 14 venues over four days.
