Kita Alexander Releases New Single 'Tell My Friends'

Kita Alexander Releases New Single 'Tell My Friends'
This Friday 24 April, ARIA-nominated Australian singer-songwriter, Kita Alexander will release the latest single from her upcoming highly anticipated sophomore album RAGE, set for release on June 26, 2026 via Warner Music Australia, 'Tell My Friends' featuring Danish singer-songwriter Christopher. Pre-order RAGE HERE. Pre-Save 'Tell My Friends' HERE.

Speaking on 'Tell My Friends', Kita shares, "Sometimes in anger I find that my girlfriends and myself included all tend to overshare with each other. I think it's necessary and it's human nature to share emotions with the people around you, but what we don't talk about enough is how anger if not processed properly can leave lasting marks and embarrassment in its wake. Situations change and moments pass and sometimes we have to clean up the mess that anger left behind."

Speaking further on the collaboration, Christopher adds, "The song tells the story of a relationship coming back together, and what it means to reintroduce this person into your life and friendships. It captures the awkward moment when, after all the things you've said to your friends, you end up back with your ex and have to break the news."

The announcement of 'Tell My Friends' coincides with news of Kita's upcoming Australian and European + UK tour. The RAGE Tour will kick off in Melbourne on September 12, with shows in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth to follow, before Kita heads to Europe from October 14 and wraps up in the UK on October 23. The artist pre-sale begins tomorrow at 10am local time on Tuesday 21 April, with the general sale beginning on Thursday 23 April at 10am local time. Kita Alexander
's sophomore album RAGE is a reclamation of self. After a lifetime of silencing her feelings and instincts to fit the societal mold expected of women, Kita reached her breaking point. Drawing inspiration from her own life and shared experiences of others, Kita sheds her good girl expectations, searches within, and embraces her rage to meet her truest self.

Speaking on RAGE, Kita said, "Rage has been the catalyst of positive change in my life over the last couple of years. The album is about an emotion I've always had but never understood. It's me looking at it and embracing it as a new friend and realising that I don't have to shut it down or avoid looking at it. Rage has helped me find what truly matters to me and to change my life in ways that work for me."

RAGE
was recorded live in the room using only organic instrumentation, with no digital synths, and was crafted with Kita's live show firmly in mind - ensuring the songs translate seamlessly to the stage. For the album, Kita collaborated with PJ Harding (Noah Cyrus), Ehren Ebbage (Lizzie McAlpine and Myles Smith), Jamie Scott (Major Lazer and Justin Bieber), Dan Bryer (Niall Horan), and longtime collaborator Shungudzo Kuyimba (Teddy Swims and Little Mix) to create the sound that is RAGE.

RAGE
arrives two years after Kita's highly-acclaimed debut album YOUNG IN LOVE which debuted at #3 on the ARIA Australian Album Chart and sparked a sold-out national tour. Kita's grand pop ambition received wide-spread acclaim from Rolling Stone, NME, Billboard, Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Marie Claire, RUSSH and more, as well as a 2024 ARIA nomination for the Michael Gudinski Breakthrough Award. In the same year, Kita was ARIA nominated alongside FISHER for Song of the Year, Best Dance / Electronic Release and Best Produced Release for their co-write 'Atmosphere', which shot to #1 on the US Radio Dance Chart and is 2 x ARIA Platinum certification.

Since her debut album, Kita has continued to cement her pop prowess. In 2025, Kita opened for 3x Grammy and 7x BRIT Award–winning global pop powerhouse Dua Lipa on the sold-out, 10-date Radical Optimism Australian and New Zealand Tour. She also travelled to the United Kingdom to perform at The Great Escape, as well as her sold-out headline show in London, before returning home for her Australian headline Press Pause Tour. Kita released three singles in 2025, including 'Press Pause,' 'I Don't Wanna Go Home' and 'Bluray''. Notably, 'Press Pause' earned Kita a 2025 ARIA nomination for Best Pop Release which she performed at the 2025 ARIA Awards.

Kita's
impressive catalogue of acclaimed pop anthems has garnered over 500 million global streams including 2 x ARIA Gold singles ('Damage Done' and 'Like You Want To'), the ARIA Platinum 'Between You & I' and the 2 x ARIA Platinum single 'Hotel' and 3 x Eps. From releasing global collaborations with FISHER, Morgan Evans, LAUREL and CYRIL, supporting international artists including Dua Lipa and Maddison Beer, Kita Alexander continues her ascendant as Australia's next big thing.
