'Bistro Mint is redefining Sydney's morning rush hour by offering guests a warm, relaxed and welcoming setting to enjoy -Petit Déjeuner' (breakfast) - a croissant and coffee, a baguette with fried egg or something a little more special – from Boudin Noir and Omelette Madeleine to house made fromage blanc and a Croque Madame or Monsieur with a delicious cup of The Grounds of Alexandria coffee," said Mr Joey Ingram, Head Chef at Bistro Mint.
Contemporary lunches are also on offer, where guests can pick up a French sandwich, known as -Le Pain', or settle in to relish in the longer -Le Déjeuner' (lunch) menu including a selection of Entrees and Plat Du Jour.
'We're committed to serving quality, seasonal and, wherever possible, local produce. Bistro Mint is the home of rich tastes and full flavours which have been accurately enhanced with the subtle tones that French cuisine is famous for around the world," continued Mr Ingram.
Bistro Mint's breakfast, lunch and event menus are typical of a French eatery, and teamed with an enviable list of beverages including selected wines such as the NV Ayala Brut Majeur, a Joseph Drouhin -La Foret' Chardonnay and La Croiz de L'Ermite St Joseph Syrah.
'Bistro Mint is the result of an extensive, yet sensitive refurbishment of the first floor of The Mint," says Mark Goggin, Director of Sydney Living Museums. 'Guests today will enjoy a modern dining experience in this historic building which was once the southern wing of Governor Macquarie's notorious Rum Hospital and later became part of the first overseas branch of London's Royal Mint."
Open from Monday to Friday for breakfast and lunch from 8am to 4pm, Bistro Mint is the perfect setting to enjoy a quick snack or settle in for a longer, relaxed meal.
